Connecticut-based indie rock quartet, The Inside Out, has been wildly successful with the release of their track, “Mr. Arrogant,” last summer. Now, they kick off 2024 with the release of the new music video for the song.
The music video was filmed by Kris Khunachak (The Wonder Years) and directed by Michael Dugatto. The video pulls viewers into a fast-paced story that replicates the music of the song, showing the members of the band as they prepare for a show. The band encounters several obstacles along the way, while the band rushes to beat the clock.
The video was filmed between the Connecticut cities of New Haven and Shelton, where Shelton serves as the home of Indian Well State Park where some of the scenes were recorded, as well as The Inside Out’s record label Black Barrel Records, where all the musical performances were shot at.
“‘Mr. Arrogant’ is a song about racing through life and time, sometimes too recklessly just to go through the next steps and motions of it all,” the band explains. “We wanted to reflect on this feeling with our music video in our own way–running late to a show, doing whatever we can to get there on time, no matter what chaos we left in our wake. Mikey Dugatto and Kris Khunachak perfected our vision with expertise.”
