The new artist collective, Mashville, release their brand new, powerful song and accompanying music video for their single, “OK.”
Lead vocalist and Mashville founding member Nova Chaz sing a powerful vocal about this powerful topic that brings awareness to a stigmatized topic during Mental Health Awareness Month.
“‘OK’ is about talking about the really hard things that people avoid because of the stigma. My message is that it’s okay to not be okay, it’s okay to talk about things. For loved ones and family members, talk to people about it. Even though it’s uncomfortable you need to have those tough conversations,” Nova says.
Ben Samuels directed the video, while dancer Alexandre Barranco, and singer Nova brought the video to life. The video was shot mostly in black & white and the two characters show Alexandre’s journey with suicidal ideation.
Mashville is Caleb Minter, Sian Michelle, Jada Arnell, Nova Chaz, and Ari Zizzo.
