Today, the UK’s rising pop star, Griff, shares her new single, “Vertigo,” via Warner Records. The new track is an inspiring and uplifting journey from a young artist who is gradually coming into her own. The song is self-produced over a single note by Griff, as she delivers a track that speaks upon the whirlwind adventures of young love in your twenties.
“’Vertigo’ refers to an emotional state — always feeling upside down,” Griff explains. “Experiencing love and growing up, it always feels like the world and my emotions are spinning faster than I can keep up with. ‘Vertigo’ is the beginning of a new creative chapter for me, and I’m excited for us all to go on this journey together.”
Griff is an outstanding, multi-talented, multi-faceted young pop star whose music has reached millions of people worldwide. Born in Kings Langley, England, she’s been making music since her early teen years. Whether it’s from her Chinese-Jamaican descent, or her incredible list of projects in fashion, songwriting, production, and design, Griff knew from an early age she was different.
Her story is unlike others; prior to the pandemic, she played just one show supporting her DIY EP, Mirror Talk. And the release of her mixtape, One Foot In Front of the Other, rocketed Griff to pop stardom. The project earned Griff the coveted BRITS Rising Star award, as well as two NME awards.
Griff is just coming off a European tour with Coldplay.
